Kinzua Dam in the Allegheny National Forest
National fish hatchery at
Kinzua Dam.
Best spot to see Kinzua Dam. The drive to the National Fish Hatchery might be the most pleasant of your day.
The paved road winds and dips, following the Allegheny River which can just be glimpsed through the woods.
The parking lot at the National Fish Hatchery closes at 3 p.m. so you have just enough time for a quick
tailgate lunch. Coming out here is a favorite for bicyclists and bikers. The hatchery office has nice clean
restrooms and plenty of information. The National Fish Hatchery is Located six miles from the start of
Hemlock Road on Warren's East Side (just before the bridge at the old
Allegheny Hotel).
